QRS-C01 // Contest Season 01
BREAK
THE CURVE
One real contest on Ethereum Mainnet: six elliptic-curve discrete log tiers at 24, 32, 40, 48, 64 and 80 bits. Solve privately, commit and reveal from your own wallet. Earn points on a public leaderboard. Season 01 runs from its verified start to its verified deadline.
Qairos Contest / Ethereum Mainnet
Contest status
Live status is read from server-side on-chain verification. Nothing here implies entries, winners or a deployed contract exist until verification says so.
Qairos Contest awards points and leaderboard rank only. No prizes or payments are offered.
00 / Current state
Checking verified status
Reading /api/contests/status. Entries stay disabled until verified.
Launch readiness
Checking.
How to enter
Eight steps, one wallet.
Solve privately
Find k for a verified target offline. Never post it, paste it into chats, or test it anywhere public.
Encrypt a recovery backup
Enter k and a 12+ character password. The browser adds a random salt and encrypts both, bound to this wallet, contest, chain and tier. A backup for another scope will not unlock.
Export the backup
Download the encrypted file and store the password separately. Qairos cannot recover either.
Commit
Approve the commit in your wallet. Only a hash is sent; your answer stays hidden.
Wait at least one block
Same-block reveals are rejected. One block is a minimum, not finality. Leave margin before the deadline.
Reveal
Confirm consent, then approve. Your answer and salt become public permanently. The first valid reveal in chain order wins, not the first to solve or commit.
Wait for finality
The leaderboard ranks finalized reveals only. Inclusion can still be reorganized.
Check the leaderboard
Each finalized reveal adds points to your wallet. Higher tiers are worth more points.
Gas: there is no entry fee, but commit and reveal each cost Ethereum gas paid by your wallet, whether or not you win.
01 / Lineup
Six real tiers, 24 to 80 bits.
Six tiers in one contest. Target parameters are published only with the verified deployment after the fairness ceremony and calibration. Bit size indicates scale; difficulty is not guaranteed by bit size alone.
02 / Protocol
Commit. Wait. Reveal.
Commit/reveal stops front-runners from copying a solution out of the mempool. Settlement is purely on-chain and deterministic.
- 01
Solve off-chain
Recover the secret scalar k for a published target point using any method you like.
- 02
Commit
Submit a hash binding the chain, dedicated contest, challenge ID, answer, wallet and random salt. The answer stays hidden.
keccak256(abi.encode(chainId, contest, id, k, sender, salt)) - 03
Wait one block
A reveal must land at least one block after its commit. Same-block commit and reveal is rejected.
reveal.block > commit.block - 04
Reveal
Reveal k and salt. The contract checks the commitment and verifies kG = Q. The first valid on-chain reveal wins.
kG == Q
03 / Leaderboard
Nobody here yet.
Only canonical finalized on-chain reveals are ranked.
| Rank | Solver | Points | Latest block | Tiers solved |

Wallet entry
Your commitment and reveal
Checking deployment, funding, final rules and opening conditions. Entries disabled.
Read verified final rulesAnswers and salts are encrypted in this browser with your backup password. Qairos cannot recover them. Export the encrypted file and keep your password separately. Clearing browser storage without a backup prevents reveal. Neither answer nor salt is sent before you approve reveal. Reveal simulation and the reveal transaction disclose both to your wallet's RPC provider.
One later block is the minimum reveal delay, not a finality guarantee. Results can change before finality. Commitments near the deadline may leave no time to reveal. No server key signs transactions.
04 / Draft rules
Planned contest rules
Draft status. These are planned rules, not a finalized legal contract. Rules and launch parameters will be finalized before entries open.
Authorized targets only
Contest challenges are math problems on targets published for this contest. Attacking any other key, account or system is out of scope and prohibited.
Any method
Classical or quantum methods are permitted. A successful solve is not proof of quantum hardware, and will not be treated as one.
armed = false
Contest challenges are deployed with armed=false and are separate from the main Qairos threat system. A contest solve never triggers protective actions.
No entry fee
Participation is free. Ethereum gas applies to commit and reveal. Results are points and leaderboard rank only.
First valid reveal wins
Each challenge goes to the first valid on-chain reveal, at least one block after its matching commit.
Finalized before opening
Start date, curve parameters and final rules are announced before entries open. Until then, everything here may change.
05 / FAQ
Questions
When does Season 01 open?
Only a verified status shows a date; none is published until approval. Follow @Qairos_app on X or watch the GitHub organization for the launch notice.
What do I get for solving a tier?
Points on the public leaderboard. No prizes or payments are offered.
Can I get the curve parameters early?
No. Parameters are published only at launch, so every solver starts at the same moment.
Is a 24-bit tier really easy?
It is intended as the entry tier, but difficulty is not guaranteed by bit size. Calibration may adjust any tier.
Does winning prove someone has a quantum computer?
No. Contest results say nothing about quantum hardware, and contest challenges are isolated from the Qairos threat system.
Do I need to connect a wallet here?
Browsing is public. To enter an open verified contest, connect and sign in with your wallet, then approve each transaction in it. Never share a private key. Wallet sign-in is an ordinary Ethereum signature, not quantum-resistant authentication.
